About the Brand
Kirstie McAulay grew up in a small beach town on Long Island, NY. She found her love for beauty at a very young age. Her style of artistry is soft and glowing while enhancing the clients natural features. During high school she went to a vocational school, The Accademy For Applied Technology, to study Cosmetology. Kirstie was very passionate about furthering on her license and beauty skills. Furthermore she studied at Makeup Designory in Manhattan, New York where she expanded her talent in bridal, special effects, fashion and editorial make-up. Since then Kirstie has been working in Manhattan, New York and Los Angeles, California. Since than she has worked for NYFW, The Emmys, The Oscars, Kids choice awards and many more. Kirstie has taken advantage of the forced time off due to covid-19 to further pursue her love for beauty. She completed the Esthetics program at Christine Valmy in New York, NY. Kirstie is currently living in NY, working primarily in the east end of long island and the hamptons doing makeup , hair, spray tanning, facials and always looking to expand her growth for beauty!
About the Founder
Beauty by the Beach was founded in 2011 by Kirstie McAulay. Kirstie felt that there was a need for an on location makeup team in NY that has a focus towards soft glam. Because getting your hair and makeup done and not feeling like yourself is the WORST !! Since 2011 Kirstie has curated a team of hair and makeup artists who are exceptional and passionate at what they do! The Beauty by the Beach team members are hand-selected and trained by Founder, Kirstie McAulay. If you have a specific artist request, you may enter their name on the inquiry form to check on their availability. Kirstie will personally assign each artist per wedding to what she sees most fitting with that bride/groom 's wedding !

I dont know why this beautiful person is not recommended enough on Brides of LI and I will now make sure of it! I somehow stumbled upon her and she was the best stumble I ever made throughout this whole process. I had two trials with her, my first trial, I asked for a natural glow. She was sweet, and amazing. She gave me MORE than just a natural glow...I looked beautiful and I hardly give myself compliments...I even asked for some sparkles...I got the sparkles I wanted, it was nice she gave me two options I could try out, with eyeliner, normal lashes, or more of a fuller lashes, or without and I was able to choose whichever I preferred. I had my second trial for my engagement pictures and she couldnt make it but still lived up to her word and had her assistant/partner come and she was JUST like Kirstie, sweet, wonderful with her work.She matched exactly how I looked at my first trial and remember the requests I asked for, the extra sparkles, the eyeliner, the lashes, etc. They both blew me away as soon as they started working on my face. Kirstie was so easy to work with, answering all my questions, providing me with multiple options for the girls who wanted just a simple makeup, airbrush, with or without extras, etc. She showed up at my condo at 5am to start makeup and met up with us again at the venue to finish up whoever wasn’t made up yet. I kept thanking her the entire time because I was so comfortable sitting there knowing my girls and I will look absolutely beautiful, and we did. Natural, light, and stunningly beautiful work by Beauty by the beach Co.!!! She needs to be more recognized by all the brides!!!!! She was very affordable in my opinion from the other reviews/prices I’ve seen.
